Ujjain is the ancient city of Madhya Pradesh. It is the fifth largest city of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated on the bank of Kshipra River. An important Hindu pilgrimage destination, it’s known for the centuries-old Mahakaleshwar Temple. Ujjain is considered one of the holiest cities in India, and is a popular pilgrimage centre. Ujjain city was shortlisted under the Government of India’s flagship programmes Smart Cities Mission.

Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple

A popular tourist attraction in Ujjain and one of the renowned Ganesha temples in the country, the Chintaman Ganesh mandir is located across the Kshipra river.

Kal Bhairav temple
